Turnberry - INFINITE-T Champions’ Kickoff

Overview:

The INFINITE-T program is the volunteer and corporate giving arm of Turnberry.  The INFINITE-T program believes that building communities is so much more than developing a beautiful building, hotel, or space, but that through giving back they can ultimately make these communities even stronger.  The INFINITE-T program is designed not only provide meaningful opportunities for employees to give back their time, talent or treasure, but also highlight that we are a community driven business.

After an initial launch by the company a year earlier, they hired Strategic Philanthropy (SPI) to help re-launch INFINITE-T program and find ways to better engage employees as well as define how they would measure the impact of their program.

Approach:

After SPI was hired to create a robust employee engagement infrastructure for the company, we were tasked to help create buy-in with all of the local team captains at the various assets. We brought in all of the team captains from the various facilities around the country to participate in a one day session at Headquarters.  We organized the day by learning about successes the team captains had had in the previous year as well as share areas for improvements.  From there, we brainstormed on how to better engage a wide-array of associates and then narrowed down our focus to find the best tactics that would engage the most amount of employees.

Results:

SPI took all of the ideas the team captains had, shared some best practices and helped the team captains determine what were the most realistic and attainable goals they could implement to kick start the program locally.  These steps were instrumental to help build on the progress for the coming year.  SPI produced a report with strategies, tactics and measurements of success the company could follow to implement their key goals and objectives.
